Choosing an upholstery material takes more than one pair of hands. The architect or interior designer decides on the materials, the manufacturer makes the sofas and armchairs, and codes, photos and samples pass between the two. Every step is a chance to get a colour wrong: the Linea Pelle website now keeps the whole process together.
The architect chooses
The starting point can be a collection, a shade or a photo. In Browse by colour every leather and fabric colour sits on a single page, filterable by colour family; with “Find the colour from a photo” you just tap the right spot in an image to see the closest colours in the catalogue.
The colours that convince end up in the moodboard, a board where the samples can be moved, rotated and overlapped as on the studio table. The surface can be changed, from walnut to marble, to see the materials next to the project’s finishes.
The PDF is the bridge
When the selection is ready, “Download PDF” prepares a document with each sample: photo, article, main features and certifications. It is the document to attach to the project or to pass on to whoever will make the furniture.
The PDF is not just for reading. It has two buttons: “Request these samples” reopens the selection on the website, from any device, to ask for the samples; “Order these materials” goes straight to the order.
The manufacturer orders
The manufacturer opens the PDF and taps “Order these materials”. The order form opens with the materials chosen by the architect already listed, split between leather and fabrics. There is no code to retype: they enter the quantities, add the leather care kit if needed, check the PDF preview and send.
We receive the order with the same lines and the same codes chosen in the studio. We confirm prices, availability and delivery, and the manufacturer immediately receives an email copy with the PDF.
Why it works
